Founded in 1910, together with a shareholder partner, a company to build motorcycles, combining the names of two members (Fontana & Grignani). Fongri began the same year and was producing and marketing the first bike marked Fongri.
The engine, refined in the design and execution, was patented, built for the optimization of balance and characteristics such as the absence of vibration when in operation. It was atwin-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled, opposed-cylinder with a horizontal axis placed longitudinally on the chassis.
