Marino (Società Automobili Luigi Marino) was founded by Luigi Marino, owner of a workshop in Padua who began as a design engineer in 1923. His first creation was a 1.5 liter model, which a year later was available in three versions (Sport, Grand Sport and standard) were available and shipped with Cime engines. The Marino-Automobile stung in many competitions, with its clear benefits, but could only be produced until 1930. Luigi Marino had rented out his workshop in Padua to another company, which has no interest in continuing of car production.
