Demm (Officine Meccaniche Daldi e Matteucci) begain in 1953 in Porretta Terme (Bologna). The Demm brothers from Milan, produced a series of two wheelers, a two-stroke moped available in a 50, 53 and 75 cc configuration, and with motorcycles either in 125 and 175 cc with overhead camshafts and a transmission shaft.
Though they were known for building motorcycles, they did build a number of 3-wheelers using engines varying from 50cc to 172cc. The drive was a single cylinder 2-stroke engines which powered the rear two wheels via a shaft from a 4-speed gearbox. The vehicles came in a number of various body styles from passenger vehicles to delivery trucks. Production of the 3-wheelers ceased in 1963.
They also provided their engines to other manufacturers to be used in their motorbikes. The factory closed in 1983.
