Mototecnica, a manufacturer based in Florence and founded in 1952, began to build motorcycles the following year. The first models, marketed under the brand Moto Gabbiano, were produced and sold between 1953 and 1954. These were motorcycles of a 125 cc version, one more sporty and a road version. In the eighties, the company was geared towards motorcycles and some 80 cc models. Among the models lineup of that period was a 4 GTI, the GTI Okey 50, and the Seagull CRSL 50, intended for off-road. Also, they had an improved lineup made up of the 4 Special, 49 cc for the off-road, the Puma SS, 49 cc for on the road and the Ghibli Mix moped, all three had front disc brakes. Production ceased in 1986.
