Vassena (Ditta Pietro Vassena, Malnate, Como, later Lecco, Como) produced bicycle motors with 125 cc two-stroke horizontal cylinder and a two-tier transmission by Ideal was launched by Pietro Vassena. In 1923 motorcycles were built under the Faini name and in 1926 these machines went under the Vassena name.
Vassena, already known for making engines of all kinds on behalf of other manufacturers, this was the first time that they had a complete machine that bore his name. He moved to Lecco and decided to mass-produce the motorcycles in the years that followed, the 125 cc Vassena had changes only to its details. After the war he designed engines for Rumi.
